The TorusRing™ is a patented gemstone cut invented by world
renowned gemstone lapidary, Glenn Lehrer. Each TorusRing™ is individually
carved with negative facets that create unique displays of brilliance. The
TorusRing™ sizes range from 5.5 to 8.5 mm round, with other available
shapes such as oval, marquise, and pear. These stones come in sapphire, ruby,
tourmaline, amethyst, and many other color stones. The TorusRing™ is
calibrated for production.
The torus, in its simplest form is a circle inside a circle. Based on
geometry it appears as a solid "doughnut". The torus is a prevalent form in
nature, seen in examples such as the iris of the eye, a tornado, the eye of a
hurricane, a whirlpool, or a solar eclipse.
